Am I the only one who LOVES Andie's prom dress?!

I have absolutely no idea why everyone hates Andie's pink prom gown, I would totally wear it in a heartbeat. I love the color and pattern of the fabric, as well as the way she redesigned it with a transparent high collar and they way it exposes only the shoulder areas (almost Asian-influenced in a way).

Sorry but the dress was is and will always be NADA

That montage was misleading. If anything, she would have kept Iona's dress in tact. The retro dress was awesome

YOU MADE ME PLAY SECOND BASE!

It was bad, beyond bad even.

She should have worn the original dress from Iona. All she had to do was let it out a bit and the style wasn't too far off from the 80s look. She could have worn some outrageous makeup and been the coolest girl at the prom. But NOPE, bring on the pink potato sack!

No, that dress was terrible. I loved all of her clothes except that awful dress. She had some beautiful originals and she Frankensteined them into that wretched thing. Sad. Horns.

Daddy! He's killed Steve and he's jamming the door with him!

Actually, I hated the grey date outfit, too. Made her look like a little old lady.

reply

I'm sorry, but that dress was hideous. She was better off with the dresses she cut up to make it, even though they were hugely out of style even at the time.

reply

I'm not a fan, but that's just an opinion. A synching at the waist would have helped the dress.

reply

I loved her other outfits in the movie, but that prom dress just hung like a long sack. I personally think Molly was at her prettiest in this movie.

reply

Probably so, yes. It was a monstrosity.

She took a lovely, well-designed older dress and made it into something unbelievably unattractive.
