Thanks to Friedkin's ending this movie is memorable unlike dozens of cop-buddy-action movies from the 80's...
shareAbsolutely made the right call. It was a shocker and, IMO, raised the stakes for the audience yet again.
Chance was constantly taking crazy risks and it caught up to him. It also evolved Vukovich's character to essentially become "the next Chance" in the end.
I so love this movie...
