Why Hasn't This Movie Been Released On Blu Ray/DVD??

This really is surprising considering this is a true sequel to the 1954 movie AND has Raymond Burr in it reprising his role??

reply

It exists. I have a copy on blu-ray.

reply

Really?? Now I'm going to have to see if I can order this on Blu Ray from V-STOCK.. If they can't get it, then it doesn't exist

reply

But hardly anyone buys DVDs or Blu Rays anymore

reply

I still do.. I'm set in my ways and fully believe in physical Media because at some point, if the internet is down, we'll, you're not streaming anything

reply

So when you're internet goes down, you're going to be thinking of a Godzilla movie? When my internet goes down, I'm thinking of ways to get it up and running again

reply

YOU'RE ALWAYS THINKING TO WAYS TO GET IT UP.

There has been a significant resurgence in physical media in the past few years. People are waking up to the fact that more and more films are unavailable now that streaming has supplanted video stores. Coupled with the rise of censorship, it's at the point where you either own a film or you can't watch it.

Raymond Burr was in the 1956 re-edited version of Godzilla, not the 1954 one. You can get Godzilla 1984 on Blu-Ray/DVD (the version without Raymond Burr). I read 1985 hasn't been released due to a music copyright claim. I found a high quality torrent of Godzilla 1985, maybe that's what they used to make the Blu-Ray.
