Molly Ringwald at 15: HOT or not?

I remember seeing this when it came out in '83 and noticing the young actress who turned out to be the "leading lady". I was surprised that, for a kid, she was actually kind of attractive. Mind you, I was pretty young myself at the time, plus her makeup and hair were pretty punk rockish, which helped. The funny thing is, she tended to look more and more like Carol Burnett as she finally reached adulthood. What say you?

reply

She was 14 when this was filmed.
No thanks...

Later on in life, sure... but not at 14.

reply

i'll take the "go to jail" option and say HOT.

also, i was 16yo when i saw this film so it's legit.

reply

Depending where you live, many places would still slam you in jail for that. 16 with any 16-18 is possible, as both are technically minors, but also adults under some laws (lots of case examples), but under 16 is badly verboten in many states, countries, nations and so on, just as an over-18 with an under-18.

Wherever Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13-year-old cousin is the only exception I know of.

reply

The point is she doesn't look 14. Just forget its molly and tell yourself this fictional female character in this fictional film looks hot as hell. You'll feel better that way.

reply

Even in the film, she's a *beep* child.
Even if it weren't wrong on so many levels, having a girl grown up enough to know what she's doing should be enough incentive.
Jeez, go get a custom android from Kurilla III, or something...!!

Ringwald was damn cute in this film.

I am the Duke of IMDb bio writers! I am A#1!

reply

Dirty and the hair, didn't start to like her till The Breakfast Club.

End of line

reply

This film and the hughes trilogy are the only films i find her very attractive in. By betsy's wedding she had lost it all. Shame as ally sheedy for example remained hot into her 30's.

reply

Are you nuts? She was just a kid ... and so was I at the time, and no, I didn't think her attractive. She was just like any other girl at school ... only she could act and was in a movie.

reply

I thought she was cute. I was a kid at the time so I can say that. :)

the answer is in your heart

Is there any particular reason you are pinning 37 years later for a 14 year old Molly Ringworm?
