Octopussy or Never Say Never Again?

The 'rival' Bond movies released in the same year?

I actually prefer NSNA

I prefer Octopussy...definitely...

Octopussy; it was more fun and entertaining and in my opinion Moore has never been more confident as Bond than here. NSNA was okay, but you could tell Connery was a bit awkward returning to the role he fought so hard to get away from. Also I think Cubby Broccoli upped the ante a bit here knowing there would be competition in NSNA, so he went full-throttle with all the Bond trademarks (gadgets, outrageous stunts, Moore's quips, etc.)/ Octopussy isn't the Best bond film, but you certainly felt like you got you moneys worth after it was over.

there are some disliking breaking the fourth wall in that, but notice in this the comment on the james bond theme "charming tune", by the way, there was an alternative title tune for "never say never again", something i never thought about until now is the fact that this movie is actually titled after the female lead rather than bond, and weird never say never again didn't get a translated title in my language, up to that point only one word titles was kept original, moore has some kind of great chemistry with this bond girl like no other, it's also apparent with their interacting in "the man with the golden gun" years earlier, same actress, different role, while connery and the bond girl in never say never again result is pretty pale, that actress had more screen presence later in her career and in the bond movie is overshadowed by the other girls, while largo in that is more annoying than scary, though the villain brothers in this comes off as punks and the knife throwing freaks me out, i like how mr. bean has a pretty big part in connery's bond, this 1983 bond looks more fresh, i wonder why i can't come across never say never again with the equal proper picture quality, and that bond flick has never been as accessible, it wasn't even available as rental when i grew up, i didn't come across it until it aired on tv, and i couldn't get a hold of the soundtrack until just the recent couple of years. by the way, i just realised that this ends with bond and the girl on a ship, just as the man with the golden gun ended, which had the same actress though dealt a different fate.

my eyes saw something too incredible to believe,
scared the living daylights out of me,
something took hold of my body,
struggling steps my spirit had no control over,
im not talking about a sleeping dream,
im not talking about an lsd trip,
a test, a breath prove me clean,
and no answer could be found,
until i experienced holy book spelled it out.
