Clark

If Clark was alone with the thing dog for 90 min...how could he not have been absorbed?

Also, why did the dog thing try to absorb all the other dogs at once?

This totally goes against Blair's theory that it had to be alone and in close proximity to the life form to be absorbed.

reply

pretty simple: the thing consciously chose not to assimilate him, as clark would be a glaringly obvious choice and everyone would immediately suspect him to be the thing, as what happens in the movie.

1. There's no law that says one HAS to be absorbed if it can be. Who knows, maybe they had their reasons? Too obvious maybe? Everyone did immediately suspect him.

2. Again, no law, haha. Presumably because the dogs are species of a lesser intelligence, there was no reason not to do all at once; it's not like if one escapes it can tell one of the humans. Plus they're all locked in a cage together.
