Are you people high???

Holy Cow, if you want to see a great slapstick movie, watch Mel Brooks "Blazing Sadles" This movie (The Pirate movie) is so amaturish it's like sitting through a horrible junior high musical, full of terrible actors and over-actors. Disjointed and mediocre it's not even good in a cult film kind of way. I'm not a snob, but I remember even back in 82' thinking it was S-T-U-P-I-D and I was the target market at that time (16 years old) MJ

Blazing Sadles isn't that great especially without Richard Pryor. With Pryor, it could have been the greatest comedy of all times. This movie is STUPID but that's the great selling point. Maybe you're not a musical fan or maybe you're too much of one. G&S fans seem to hate this movie. Disjointed? Well, it get interrupted by the music ... if that's what you mean. I can't defend Atkins but he's not bad in this. He was worst in other movies. And who wasn't in love with McNichol back then? I don't care that "Pumpin And Blowin" gets the Razzie because apparently they miss the point.

Hell, then don't watch it. I think it's an okay film, and pretty good on top of that.
