When the cops are shooting down at Rambo from the clifftop Rambo cries out in pain. I’ve always wondered if he was actually injured at this point or whether it was a ruse by him to lure the cops into thinking that they had the upper hand.
Thoughts?
I'm pretty sure he was trying to fake them out... he could have been nicked by a bullet breaking on the rocks.

I thought he was grazed the way he grabbed his head and screamed after they opened fire on him, but then he never addressed it later. I mean, he stitched his arm after falling from the tree, but a grazing shot to the skull would have given him a blistering headache and a significant scalp bleed. Maybe there was a scene scripted or even shot that addressed the grazing skull wound but was never in the final cut.
Anyway, he was either faking them out as you say or maybe it was just an editing decision they hoped nobody would notice.

shareYeah the mighty Rambo was hurt, a bullet (shot from a high powered rifle) grazed his head and he immediately placed his hand on the wound as he cried out in pain....and later we see him with a strip of fabric (serving as a bandage) tied around his head to help stop the bleeding and prevent serious infection. Rambo feels pain too, he's not a machine or a Terminator....he's human.
