It's a comic book turned into a film, not a Lifetime docudrama. It's a pulpy horror story about how a milquetoast wimp of a guy takes years and years of emotional abuse from his absolute bitch of a wife and eventually snaps. Nothing to furrow your brow over.

I remember hearing somewhere that when she said she was going to her classes that she was cheating on him.

I think Henry married her for her body and never checked under the hood to see what kind of person she was until it was too late.
