What was the point of injecting Snake with the microscopic capsules if Hauk wasn't planning on telling him about it?

Never got this. If Hauk was not planning on telling Snake about the capsules, then what was stopping Snake from getting POTUS back in 22 hours? I mean, if Snake didn't know about the capsules, what would be stopping him from saying "fuck it" and taking the glider to Canada?

Hauk would have almost certainly told Snake if the medical tech hadn't said anything. Shortly after the injection he would have told him.

Did you notice the winning smile Hauk gave Snake when he told him about the nitro capsules?

yeah not sure what the OP is asking

Maybe the OP thought Hauk had been planning to keep it secret until the med tech said, "Tell him!"

Personally, I suspect Hauk was just waiting until he was out of grappling range before telling Snake himself. Maybe even waiting until Snake was already in the glider.

Sort of like the sequel, where they purposely load his first clip with blanks.

Plausible. Those alternate scenes would have worked.

The OP doesn't seem to see that Hauk had to tell him at some point. It was done to ensure Snake wouldn't go rogue and flee the mission.

The med tech's conscience was bothering him over the the ethics of what he had just done. So he says "Tell him."

I like the scene as is. I thought Lee Van Cleef was good as Police Commissioner Hauk.

Did you not see how Snake reacted? He would have told him over the radio.
