Mysterious Two (1982) is absolutley amazing. The only thing that pulls it down are somewhat dated special effects, which makes it one of exremely few film I'd actually love to see remade.

The Haunted (1991). Couldn't sleep for a week after I saw it.

The best that I've seen;

Someone's Watching Me! (1978)
Salem's Lot (1979)
Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)
Threads (1984)
Fortress (1985)
The Woman in Black (1989)
It (1990)
Cast a Deadly Spell (1991)
Ghostwatch (1992)
When a Stranger Calls Back (1993)
Intensity (1997)

Great list here and I have to give a shout out for The Woman in Black. Something about that one scares me to this day!

It may only be nostalgia, but I’m a fan of Don’t Go to Sleep (1982). It was one of those that certain scenes were stuck in my head since seeing it as a child on TV. In my memories I would confuse it with Burnt offerings, combining the 2 into one movie, until I figured it all out as an adult.

I haven't seen Don't Go to Sleep (1982), I'll add it to my (very extensive) watchlist.

reply

Well, put it at the end because it’s probably not all that great. :)
