Dr. Goodhead

Ah, the pre-PC days when such blatantly chauvinist names could be given to Bond girls. If only Moore had squeezed in a few more Bond films in the seventies we might have had seductresses like Anal Bleach, Clit Pierce, Tong Balls, etc.

I always liked Moonraker. My family went to Brazil in '81, so the tram car to Sugar Loaf, Corcovado (the Jesus statue) and the 7-Up billboard when he goes to Rio were very familiar when I got there.

She does nothing for me...one of the worst Bond girls.

I actually think that Dr. Goodhead is one of the more under-appreciated Bond girls (especially from the Roger Moore era). Unlike Anya from The Spy Who Loved Me, Holly actually is tough and resourceful. We're supposed to believe that Agent XXX is that, but it comes across as more of a pose:

She wasn't a haplessly passive and naive damsel-in-distress like Solitaire from Live and Let Die, an incompetent bimbo like Mary Goodnight, or a shrill, hysterical pantywaste like Stacey Sutton from A View to a Kill.

Lois Chiles was one of the biggest fashion models of the 1970s.

I've heard she's good in TWISTER (1989), but I've never seen her give a really accomplished performance.

She's decent in BROADCAST NEWS, but it's not a very demanding part.

Holly Goodhead has got to be the silliest name I have ever heard and Lois Chiles is one of the worst actresses I have ever had the misfortune of having to listen to. I so wish they had just made her Gala Brand.

Goodhead is another way of say that she gives good head.
