Lisa Baur SMOKIN HOT !!

Lisa Baur, who plays Shelly Dubinski from Emily Dickinson college, is HOT. I mean REAL, REAL hot. Really cute girl-next-door type.

Besides Animal House and an episode of Charlie's Angels, she was never in anything else. Her whereabouts today are unknown also.

What a pity.

Count me amongst the curiosity seekers - always wondered about Lisa Baur (Shelly Dubinski) and her current whereabouts or whatever happened to her.
Well according to some info I've read, and if what I've read is true, apparently her actual name is Cynthia(Cindy) Baur, and she grew up in Atlantic, Iowa. Later attended Colorado State University & Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Unsure why she used the first name of 'Lisa' for Animal House (possibly her middle name is 'Lisa'?). Anyhow, apparently she has been living in New Zealand since probably about the early 1980's, and owns a candle shop on the south island in Golden Bay, NZ (Owner/Director of 'Living Light Candles').
.... okay, now let's go find Otter and give him the scoop!

Your entire post is a load of crap. Give us a little more than a few pictures that bear no resemblance. They don't even have the same first name. What a moron!

reply

Actually.......I'm not doubting that is her -- not that I know for sure. Lots of things can change in 35 years.....including her last name if she got married.

reply

But how does anyone except a moron take the leap from someone named Bauer who looks nothing like Lisa Bauer to the conclusion that this is Lisa Bauer. I could find THOUSANDS of people name Bauer and claim that it's Lisa Bauer. The OP is a complete idiot.

reply

I'm sure the guy is sincere at least, so I am hesitant to come down on him. At the same time, I can buy into the pics being of the same person. And maybe he just didn't give all the info that lead him to make the connection between the two.

Just not as sure as you are without more.

reply

The world is full of idiots.

reply

Don't think anyone ever doubted that.....so yeah, that is true. Pissing directly into a gale force wind is a bad idea too.

reply

Has it ever occurred to any of you that the first poster may be cynically advertising his friend's/relatives candle business?

reply

I could buy that, but if he is it is a pretty ineffective way to do it. Not that means you aren't correct.

reply

Ineffective to everyone except you, jstang411. You seem to have fallen for it hook, line, and sinker.

reply

No I didn't.....I told you have my doubts. But maybe did go overboard with all those twenty candles I gave over the holidays that I billed as made by that hot chick that Otter moved in on after the kiln tragedy. They smelled nice though.

reply

Why would someone promote a New Zealand candle shop on a predominantly American website and think it would be effective?

MATMT, it's her.
Please kindly refer to my original posts which lists links/info regarding updates on her, and additionally to my below reply to commenter 'bucinaus'. Thanks.
(I have no interest in responding to the particular other poster here on this board who apparently continually enjoys the role of provocateur/naysayer anywhere and everywhere on IMDb... said poster having been placed on 'ignore', fittingly for displaying ignorant comment replies to my previous posts).

reply

Actually, to me that does look like her. The big round eyes and round face give it away.

reply

It is her.
Another Animal House fan from another Animal House forum/site had even apparently emailed her previously to compliment her on how she still looks very pretty & cute... she replied back with a Thank You with a smile emoticon.

I simply posted my original informational posts here on IMDB for curious Animal House fans.
I have no interest in replying to those naysayers on here. In fact, I've placed them on the 'ignore' list.

reply

That is indeed her. I had a brief but lovely email exchange with her today. She said she loved acting but "the business was too harsh for me". She married a (lucky!) guy from NZ and moved there and runs the candle place. As fans we should all support it when they start selling on Amazon this year.

reply

100% agree with OP! She was the hottest girl in this flick.

Best solution for a troll post - just ignore!

reply

Couldn't agree more with the OP. That girl was the hottest in the movie.

reply

She is responsible for at least 8 of my tennis elbows. When I see her, I must fap. She's gorgeous! Luckily I live in New Zillund.

reply

The pride of Emily Dickinson College!

reply

It's something like 44 years since that relatively small appearance and we, myself included, are still coming to the boards to express our appreciation - is that some kind of a record? Offhand I cannot think of another example of such a tiny career generating such lasting interest.

reply

Let's get this trending again.

And again.
