No blacks, no asians, no hispanics in high school?

I wonder why the greaser culture was part of the Hispanic culture as well as the Irish American culture and Italian American culture you didn't have to be American to be a greaser British who lived in America were allowed to become greasers.

I graduated from high school in the 80's and we had 2 black kids, and maybe 5 or 6 asians and latinos. In the 50's some schools had no minorities. It wasn't uncommon.

I mentioned before that there are black people at the dance. Only two that I can see, but they are there. Also, when Danny goes to see Coach Calhoun, there is an Asian guy on the pommel horse.
