Where Banner gets his clothes from when he's ripped them?

He always happens to found a shirt on a washing line, a closet somewhere. His bag he carries with him must have 15 million shirts, trousers and shoes because we never see him going to the shops. Where would he get a unlimited supple of money where he would have to replace his clothes constantly?

David does keep some spare clothes in his iconic duffle bag, but most of the transformations took place near(and because of!) other people, so getting fresh clothes never really bothered me. Perhaps he shopped at thrift storesī„.

He would have to have a huge amount of money to replace them all the time and to have a huge amount of shirts and trousers stuffed in his bag.

He was always able to make a bit of money doing odd jobs, and you can buy decent clothes at thrift stores for very little money. These days you can find a shirt or pants for $1 each, or even for free at a Goodwill store. As for underwear, he probably saved even more money by going commando. ;)

Never in a situation where he couldn't get any new clothes or have the money to get some.

reply

Never see him as a beggar.

From the same place where all the extra mass comes from when he changes from Banner to Hulk.

Well, he was a doctor. Maybe he closed his bank accounts and took his money when the experiment went awry and he decided to go into hiding...even though he lived a humble existence for a doctor and always seemed to seek employment wherever he was.

reply

He was shown "borrowing" clothes on more than one occasion.

Funnily enough, in the sequel TV movie The Incredible Hulk Returns, after losing his clothes after becoming the Hulk, he steals pants and a shirt off a clothes line in someone's yard and clips dollar bills on the clothesline to help the pay the person back for taking them.
