Worst in the series I've seen

So far I have seen Airport 1970, Airport 1975, and this one. Airport 1977 is the worst one in the series. Yet it has a higher rating than Airport 1975. I couldn't disagree more with that. I'm sure The Concorde: Airport '79 is even worse, but I have no interest to even see it.

Airport 77 is a classic compared to The Concorde: Airport 79. So if you want to feel better about this movie watch that one.

After Airport, this movie Airport 77 is the only other one in the series worth watching, good cast of Hollywood veterans and tv actors and actually quite interesting even when the plane sinks.
Airport 75 plays like a comedy, Charlton Heston sexist dribble, Nancy honey, Nancy baby etc makes you want to vomit, Myrna Loy deserved better that the crap role she had to play, I could go on and on but wont and then there is the Concorde airport 79, oh boy, words cant describe that turkey.
Airport 77 is a good movie.

Good comment about '77 being good for the cast - some great names together and that's why I like it.

Yeah, the sexist crap in '75 spoils an otherwise good aviation movie, and Concorde is quite low on quality but it has the Concorde in it and George Kennedy's Petroni character finally became a pilot so I enjoy it. Plus it has a Superman-like soundtrack by the great Lalo Schifrin.

I think it's the best one, hands down. Spare me Dean Martin's ladies' man schtick in the first one. '75 and '79 are great comedies, but not great disaster movies. '77 is by no means a great film but it does have some moments of genuine suspense and a couple of good performances.

Concorde is much worse.

I like it much better than'75.
