I was wondering where they ended up at the end of the movie. Was it the White House or American Embassy? I’m leaning towards the white house but it doesn’t seem to be either because of the English bobbies guarding the place.
shareIt was the White House in Washington, DC. In the late 19th century those uniforms were common to police in many Western countries, not just England.

shareSomeone told me who read the book, when they drilled their way back to the Earths surface, they hit a time warp and went back in time when America was still a part of the British Empire, hence why British guards are standing in front of the white house's gate. Their return on the front lawn of the white house was considered an invasion and the start of the Revolutionary War
