The Lawrence House Is Back On The Air!

Anyone see the "Family" house in this past Tuesday's (2/28/12) episode of "Parenthood"? It's in the first few minutes when Jasmine goes to break up with Joe.

And you wanna know the worst part? You're from outta state!

Were any of the Lawrences still living there? Probably that deadbeat Willie - you just know he never earned any money on his own, and was just going to sponge off the family for the rest of his life.

Willie is probably still living in the guest house! Now that Kate and Doug (the actors) have both died, the property would have been sold -- only nobody remembered to tell Willie and he's still there!

Something that I didn't remember, or forgot about, while watching an episode recently is the house was Doug's parents house and that's where he and his sister grew up, so quite possibly Willie could still have the house to keep it in the family.

I'm not sure where Doug's father was living now because I've only been watching a few episodes.

Willie also INHERITS the FAMILY FARM that KATE's mother owns before she dies in S1.

So that's why everyone bugging him about getting a job makes no sense when he also OWNS his own property and he would also have an income for that reason.

Because there's also someone else who lives on the PROPERTY who takes care of it (which probably also means WILLIE would be paid some kind of RENT for whoever lives there on it).

And if they're a CARETAKER, then WILLIE should also be making a living by having a CARETAKER living there and doing the FARM work for him.

Willie actually did have a job as writer for The Dame Game.

Here is the house! Remember the episode where Kate is shocked that selling their home could fetch $90K?!! Now estimated to be worth around $5M.

reply

Well some of the value is that it's from the TV show. $90K in today's money would be $300K

I don't know if the house is all that famous. I think the value mostly based on area comps. That's just California real estate for you!
