who plays the gorgeous dark woman you see in the opening minutes? [Carole Augustine]

Would have really like to see more of her. Sexy woman. I'm referring to the woman doing indoor tanning that he sees through the window.

Did you mean to write "dark haired"?

reply

No. She is that too, but she's dark skinned. The only one in the movie. Appears about 3:15 in. Looks to be maybe Indian, Egyptian, middle-eastern, etc. Not black, but very tan.

In a movie full of "nudie-cuties", she was the one that stood out the most to me.

I'll have to pursue this subject further. Love dark, exotic women myself

I go the February 1972 Penthouse issue that has a brief interview with her. It gives her ancestry as "Polish-Scottish mother and South American father". The father's side mixed in their explains her look. Really beautiful.

Carole Augustine...sadly she died a year after making the film, aged just 24.

Ahh, there it is right in the credits at IMDB "sunlamp girl" - I should have spotted that. Thank you. Sad such a beauty died so young. This was her only appearance. Damn! With those looks, its too bad she didn't appear in a whole string of movies for future men to admire.

I tried to see if there was a good capture I could get to upload to IMDB, but unfortunately, there's nothing they would accept.

Found this entry for her at TMDB that has her at only 21 when she died!

Says she was a glamour model and Penthouse Pet Of The Month February 1972 who became a nation-wide sex symbol as the girl in television's Manikin Cigar advertisements.

Then she died “somewhat mysteriously” in 1975 at the young age of 21.

Yeah, i saw the same info in that TMDB profile. Different sites have her at 24 or 21 when she died. She died in 1975, but when she was born (1951 or 1953) seems to vary by where she's listed. There's some decent pictures of her out there if you search by name.

reply

I may do that. 😊
