Why doesn't Arnold talk about this film?

In the mini-documentary on the DVD, Altman makes a point of saying that Arnold will not talk about this film.

Anyone know why?

Maybe just because it's a minor, non-speaking role I assume.

I don't know the answer to that, but did you notice that he "broke the wall" in the "strip-down" scene, by looking directly into the camera? I guess Altman didn't mind, since he kept the take. But didn't that seem out of place to you?

I did not notice that. Like you said, Altman obviously did not think it was bad enough to ruin the take. Anyhow, the film has such a loose, informal, and improvised feel that i don't think something like that matters.

I think I might just about imagine Ahnold doing a commentary track for TLG though; much hilarity`s bound to ensue.

I thought he said that Arnold didn't talk in this film.

Yes -- this may be a classic film in the eyes of many, but to Arnie, why would it even be worth mentioning? He probably felt he was exploited in it... "I strip naked because a guy tells me to? And I don't even get to pose or say anything? FAAACK YOU!". 

Maybe he just had a negative filming experience. I hear that Altman wasn't the nicest of gents on set.

It's a pimple in his career. He probably doesn't really care about it.
