Gethsemane
This Jesus Must Die

Those 2 tie in my view. They are the best. Gethsemane for its great words, and beautiful yet sad. But also inspiring because of Jesus' courage after he thought things through.

This Jesus Must die is great also, because you can feel and see the Priest's and scribes conspiring against Jesus. It just captures my imagination well. It also makes you feel that, you know, the priests weren't these snarling beasts of men, they were just scared of what would become of them in Jesus kept preaching. I like them both, excellent.

i must be different, ive been a huge fan of this movie since school.my fave is then we are decided,a title not mentioned by anybody else!.also blood money.when i was at school we had to listen to this during music lessons, everybody mocked including me,until i heard it.ive always been a fan of the bass guitar which shines in then we are decided, perhaps that swings it for me.i do also agree with an earlier thread about my worst,i dont know how to love him,it somehow seems out of place, cant explain why.lots of people laugh when you say you like this,id say grab a beer, watch it with a bit of volume and then comment-you may be suprised what you had to say afterwards!

Very tough, Heaven on Their Minds is terrific, what a way to start it off. I also love "This Jesus Must Die", "Simon Zealotes"....wow so many classics. Oddly enough, the one that's been stuck in my head the last couple weeks is "Then We Are Decided". It basically has nothign to do with the show, but it's so damn catchy!

Love all the songs in this movie, but Gethsemane still get's me chills down my spine and tears in my eyes. That song is so powerfull and emotional, I just love it. Also "Heaven on their minds" and "I don't know how to love him" are deffinitly two of my favourites.

So we saved the world together for a while, and that was lovely.

Mine are all the songs play by judas and Pilates, they have the most emblematic songs, and they show the human nature and the goodness in their souls.

I specially like "Judas's Death" I think that's is the most beautifull song in the film also "heaven in their minds".

I'd rather be hated for who Im, Then loved for who I'm not...

I'll be a sheep and say Gethsemane first. Second I have to be original and say Then We Are Decided. It's groovey, got Caiphas cool bass lead vocals, and it was written special for the movie and wasn't in the original stage production. :-)

All the Carl Anderson songs but especially Jesus Must Die, because I love when Caiaphas says, "One thing I'll say for him, Jesus is cool."

reply

Damned for All Time/Blood Money
Heaven On Their Minds
Strange Thing Mystifying
Peter's Denial

Judas and Peter are so pretty, and I love the guitar in the background.

HEAVEN ON THEIR MINDS

Carl Andersen's voice was just amazing. No matter how many times I hear it I still get a shiver up my spine!

One of my favorite parts of the movie is during the scourging of Christ, when that whip hits his body for the first time and the music starts then it cuts to Mary Magdalene screaming and falling onto John. That sends chills up my spine. Then when it shows John dragging her out of the crowd.

As far as songs,

I like:
The Temple Song (Roll on up Jerusalem, live in me Jerusalem).
Gethsamene
Heaven on Their Minds
All of them! Hard to pick one.

If you ever want to hear an absolutely AMAZING version of Gethsamene, find the version that Michael Crawford did. It gives me goosebumps every time.

My favs are

Gethsamene
Could We Start Again Please
Simon Zealot's song (sorry don't know the title)
Everything's Alright
Herod's song
