The best Pam Grier film? (aside from Jackie Brown?)

I think this is the best Pam Grier film aside from Jackie Brown. Foxy Brown is mysogynistic Bond-wannabe-lite, and the other films she made in the 70s didn't reach the same heights as Coffy. Original Gangstas was good, but not necessarily a Pam Grier film (more a series of cameos from black actors from the 70s).
Whaddya think? Plus it's got some awesome nudity from Ms. Grier!

Yeah, Pam was never sexier or baaadder! If you never see another Pam movie catch this one. As it says in an ad, she's a "genre" all to herself!

Hmmmm, most people seem to pick Coffy and Foxy Brown as their top two, although they're pretty much split down the middle as to which one is THE best. Suffice it to say, the two together pack a mighty one-two Pam Grier punch... 'nuff said!

Frankly, I think any that she got naked in.

I've only seen Coffy and Foxy Brown...and they're both good...yes indeed, in Foxy Brown, she got a man REALLY where it hurts, AND she was really sneaky about hiding that gun in her bra and in her Afro, and that crazy way she picked her brother up in the beginning, and threw the other guy off from the front of the car.

HOWEVER, I have to say that I very much prefer Coffy because for one, that seems a more realistic character for a woman, although I could be wrong, but Pam Grier herself was responsible for the part about the deadly bobby pin and the hidden razor blade, I don't know if she added any personal knowledge to Foxy Brown though I wouldn't put it past her, BUT the fact remains that she definately put a lot of what she knew herself into Coffy.

Another thing I like about Coffy, I mean, in Foxy Brown she said "death is too easy for you", that may be, but I prefer seeing all the pushers and their friends DIE, knowing that they're not going to get any way out of the price they have to pay to her. And you know in Foxy, her brother screwed her over, got her boyfriend killed, that's about as good a reason as any to do what she did afterwards, BUT I prefer Coffy's story of she is avenging what happened to her little sister. I mean, her boyfriend went into that line of work knowing it was dangerous, that doesn't make his death any less horrible, but when you have a sister who since she was 10 has been roped in with the pushers, the runners and the dealers, and her whole life is ruined, THAT is something you can't overlook.

Coffy. Hands down. Everything else was just an honest attempt to make this movie on a grander scale.

Yes, I think Coffy is her best film. I actually prefer Friday Foster to Foxy Brown, as you see a much different side of Pam in Friday Foster, while Foxy Brown is just a rushed, more cartoonish sequel to Coffy, really. I'd rate Sheba, Baby behind all of the above. For me, it's 1) Coffy 2) Friday Foster 3) Jackie Brown. All well worth watching.

I like Foxy Brown as well.

I'd say its Scream Blacula Scream, because in that one, she has no nude scenes
