Boys' clothing and girls dresses

Did boys really wear flowered, pink, purple clothing back then? The clothes just seem like they come from a family closet and whatever they grabbed they wore. Greg's purple clothes, his flower printed shirts. The blue (I think) t-shirt and the flower "blouse" on the Johnny Bravo episode. Peter's flowered belt. And they talk about clothes that girls wear today.....look at those girls dresses. It always looks like they forgot to put on pants, a skirt or shorts. Just curious. Not condemning this, but just curious...if these were just part of the show or is it really what people wore back then. I just cannot picture men wearing pastel colors and flowers.....lol.

You should ask your older relatives to see their family albums. I am not talking about records. I am talking about a large book filled with family photographs.

Yes that's how we dressed. And California always leads the trends and pushes them East, so they were ahead of their time, actually.

Erly 60s (Hayley Mills made that a THING in THE Parent trap, and by the 70s she no longer worked at DIsney)

I really don't understand your comment, sorry. Don't you think Hayley Mills wore what the studio told her to wear? What does this have to do with her departure from Disney? Because she was too pure?
