SPOILER - - - - I saw this in the theater and I remember when that ending happened everyone was shocked. People just sat there. Because most people hand't seen anything like that before.

The ending was what made it so memorable.

No post mortem, no "good time" flashbacks..no sappy music...

Great choice.

That's because Bonnie and Clyde both ended up being gunned down by the law.
