This is one of my favorite Godzilla movies

I personally love adventure films, so I liked watching the main characters explore the island and find a way off. Godzilla's appearance felt organic, and the rest of the film didn't feel like an excuse to waste time until Godzilla shows up. In fact, the main characters seems to take greater focus than Godzilla, whose appearance seems more like an extended, fanservice cameo. It may not be the best to watch if you're looking for pure giant monster action, but it's one of the more unique and well-rounded films in his catalog.

My top 5, in no order, would probably be the original, ebirah, son of godzilla, Final Wars, and vs King Ghidorah

I agree, this one's a lot of fun from the get-go, and saving Godzilla for the final sequence actual works to its advantage. The characters are engaging & likeable all on their own!

Though light on kaiju strobing, it is one of the few G films that isn't throw-away plot in the details. Not the best enemy either. But yeah, a higher quality movie.

This is my favorite Godzilla film because volleyball is my favorite sport and loved when Godzilla and Ebirah played volleyball with the boulder.

I'd love to see a volleyball tournament with all the Godzilla monsters. Ebirah and Gigan would be the best I think. The bad monster in Godzillas Revenge would be horrible. His arms and tail would be too short

The sheer power of the monsters is astounding. To be able to hit that boulder back and forth was amazing. How much do you think that boulder weighed? Godzilla used both his head and tail when serving the boulder back to Ebirah

I didn't see one in Destroy All Monsters. But the humans still could have built one for the monsters off screen
