Best Alfred: Sean Pertwee

Best Batman bomb disposal scene: Batman 1966 movie

I disagree. It's Batman Returns where a guy throws a bomb at him and the throws it right back at him blowing him up.

That was a good one too.

Well, I've always believed that the character of Batman and Bruce Wayne are basically the same guy, so I'm rejigging the categories. Also because this is a dead-thread, so it doesn't matter. And because this is just for fun, anyway, so who cares about rules?

Best Batman: Michael Keaton - holds the crown to this day, and yeah, we all miss Kevin Conroy, too. I also think Pattinson has come really close, but for me, Keaton still gave us the best, fully-realized character in all his guises.

Best Look: Christian Bale - I think this is what a lot of people mean when they say, "Best Bruce Wayne." They're just talking about a guy who seems like a billionaire in a tux. Bale, in my opinion, looks the most like Bruce Wayne strolled off the comics pages and onto the screen. My runners up would be Kilmer and Affleck, and I find it interesting that my favourite Batman/Bruce Wayne actors (Keaton, Pattinson, Conroy) aren't the closest looks (although The Animated Series is obviously a bit of an exception).

Best Batsuit: Batman Begins - looks menacing, armoured, practical, and still keeps one foot on the comics page. It was *really* close between this and the Batman Returns suit, which is also awesome. The Batman's suit places third for me, although it has strolled a little too far away from the comics for my taste.

Best Batmobile: Batman Returns - "Shields." The original Batmobiles were weird and awesome, and Returns' just sticks out a bit more for me. The Batman is just behind this one. It doesn't have the gizmos, but it's such a cool car. I was never sold on the Tumbler.

Best Batmobile Chase Scene: The Batman, hands down, for me. Batman Begins has a GREAT rooftop chase, but The Batman has such good cinematography and it makes the weather and traffic factors. It's great seeing a city's traffic as something to deal with in a chase.

Best Batman Movie: Batman Returns got basically everything right, from psychological depth to characters to the unique look. Like the suit, it's rooted in the comics, so it sells the cool comic vibe better than most of the other films. The Batman and Batman '89 are runners-up for me. With that said, I've enjoyed a LOT of Bat-films over the years, and while Reeves' and Burton's visions are my favourites, Nolan knocked it out of the park, too (with the exception of the third one - I don't like Rises), and Batman '66 has goofy fun nailed.

I think the only reason people prefer Bale's Bruce Wayne is because Keaton's Bruce Wayne barely interacted with the general public. In the first Burton film, he only interacts with Knox and Vicky Vale. In the 2nd Burton movie, he only interacts with Christopher Walken's character and Selena Kyle. So, yeah. His Bruce Wayne just doesn't interact with the General Public much.

See, I prefer his performance as the character, I was just saying Bale looks like comic book Batman more than the other actors who have taken the role. Actually, one of the reasons I think Keaton nailed it is because he doesn't really look like Bruce, so he's fighting his look, not to mention his "type" as the comedy guy (at the time, anyway). The fact that he could rise above public perception and his own "grooves" makes him all the more impressive.
