Season 4

Get the original actors, dig them up if necessary, continue on like nothing happened. Pure gold.

LOL! THis idea was pretty funny on Sponge Bob Square Pants when they brought Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy out of retirement.

There might have been a season 4(NBC) back in the day, had the bulldozers not torn down the Batcave.

Never make friends with the devil brother, his pitchfork will get you in the end.

True Matt. I wonder if NBC would have restored the Wednesday-Thursday slot? Or kept it as a one night per week show? Rumor has it that Robin would have been sent off to Gotham U and only made cameo appearances. I wonder if the show would have gotten even zanier than season 3?

Would West have left the show and be replaced by Dick Gautier, as he was in the PSA that was made after the show?

Aunt Harriett would have been written out. Would Bruce and Barbara have become a couple? Was O'Hara to be written out?

So many questions.

O'Hara was to be written out. Bat Girl would have replaced Robin as his crime fighting sidekick.

It seems as though it was very expensive to film. Children had replaced adults as the main fans by the end of Season 3. The Company needed adults to be viewers so that the advertising and merchandise would be viable. It seems strange to us now but the pester power of children hadn't yet really established itself then I expect. Now marketing to children directly is an accepted part of the advertising industry.

Madge Blake was if I'm not mistaken, quite ill during Season 3. She only appeared about twice in the last season. She passed away less than a year after Batman was cancelled.

Maybe there could be a reboot of the series with new actors but the same campy, pop art style of the original and music theme and narration.
