Disney stinks

How did Disney get away with such blatant plagiarism? Does anyone know if they paid anything for the rights or handed over any royalties? Why didn't Tezuka's estate sue Disney the way Kurosawa sued Sergio Leone for ripping off Yojimbo to make A Fistful of Dollars? To have something as wonderful as Kimba soiled in this way is a wound that has never healed. Help me, someone!

Back in 1994, Takayuki Matsutani, the president of Osamu Tezuka's production company, Tezuka Productions said:

Quite a few staff of our company saw a preview of "The Lion King," discussed this subject and came to the conclusion that you cannot avoid having these similarities as long as you use animals as characters and try to draw images out of them.

Nobody cares, it's not "blatant plagiarism" the two are totally different, just get over it already. If Your so bitter about it write to Disney Yourself and complain, just because two movies of the same genre have some similarities that doesn't mean there was plagiarism.

People who say what you do haven't actually seen the character comparison. They are the same animals and have the same role in LK. These are not 'crazy coincidences'. No wonder people in Japan don't like the Lion King at all, they are polite about it but treat that as a disgrace and something uncomfortable to talk about.

You are an idiot. This video puts this age old accusation to rest.

I'm not an idiot just because you got upset. And don't worry, I know the guy, in fact, a lot of people know about him. I'm sure his videos have a lot of SEO. Those videos and his channel immediately appear in the results when you search for Kimba stuff, at least lately.

So it's an influencer's opinion and agenda, not the truth.
