Is this the perfect film?

I think so. I was so frustrated with it for the longest time because of running time, slow pace etc I was determined to fix it by editing it myself, I tried countless variations and it can't be done. If you take out one scene nothing works anymore, I did it, try it for yourself. Isn't that the definition of perfection? When something can't be altered or improved without collapsing? Or is that disaster? I think it's perfection, at least this film is it for me, it couldn't have been done in any other way.

If not perfect, as close as almost any have come, I love this film, all the hours and hours of it

it literally took me 15 years to love it lol but now I can't get enough. I like it so much I can even see the 4 hours straight and I don't get bored, there's so much to see on each frame, it's unbelievable, but it took years of old movie watching and breaking down all my bullshit assumptions of cinema.

If you love the film it doesn't matter how long it is.
