How did you first discover this film?

I was a King Kong fan in the late 80's. Shortly thereafter I became a Godzilla fan after watching Godzilla 1985. When I was around 7 years old I thought, "it would be cool if King Kong met Godzilla." Not long after I was walking around the local Kmart and saw something I couldn't believe. A VHS copy of "King Kong vs. Godzilla". I was thinking, "Oh my God, I have to see this now!" I begged my mom to buy it for me. I remember being disappointed about the King Kong design, but I otherwise enjoyed the film.

I saw it at a drive-in when it first came out. I was only 4 and it was my first drive-in movie. I was so excited!

Through the good ol' internet. I grew up not knowing anything about the Godzilla movies, other than the fact that there were some.

I have . Saw this on television on saturdays when they showed sifi movies
every weekend and sometimes during the afternoons after school .
Back when there was 3 channels and UHF was beginning .
Then the UHF stations ran all those classic and not classic movies .

Some of the not so classic is better than some of the new movies today and
cost less to make .

I remember seeing this for the first time at my grandma's house when I was a little kid. I saw it and my mom had to turn it off at first cuz I cried when I seen godzilla coming toward the army base in that ocean. I thought he was goin to get me lol. His roar was what really almost made me *beep* my pants. His roar still gives me nightmares to this day. But I learned to love this movie and I begged my mom non stop to buy it for me.

I first saw King Kong Lives and that became my favorite movie of all time, so I then went to BlockBuster Video and rented every King Kong movie. The original and 1976 version were boring. King Kong Lives is still my favorite and this movie is 3rd favorite Kong movie. King Kong Escapes is my 2nd fav. The Japanese made some great Kong movies

My aunt bought for me it on VHS for Christmas when I was a kid. I watched the heck out of that tape. I now own it on bluray after my DVD got scratched.
