The priest not believing Victor's story

I mean frankly you can't blame him. Victor told him quite the tale as it is, but what probably convinced the priest he was mad, was the fact that he could remember complete conversations between Paul and Elizabeth from times when he wasn't even around. Who wouldn't think he was crazy?

Not to mentioning remembering the blind man and the little boy encountering the monster

Great points.

I'm still wondering what Victor wants the priest to believe in the first place. That he really did create a monster? Better to get a scientist.

reply

Exactly. And if he did actually tell the entire story as we are shown, then the priest would surely know that Victor murdered the professor himself, had Justine killed by the creature, and also robbed several graves and whatnot. Plus, even if they had believed that the creature existed, all of the horrific events that ensued would have still been Victor's fault. I love this movie, but that didn't really make sense.

Do you think the doctor IS the creature?

reply

No. But I do know that the real monster in this movie was the baron himself.
