Most annoying character...

Lilia!!!! Goes without saying. Debra Paget was very pretty during her starlets YEARS, but whoo boy... her character Lilia got on my FREAKING NERVES! Sheesh!😣

reply

Yes, she had alot of self-pity, especially with that "Death cometh to me" song.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

reply

Not to mention the irritating way she would always say Joshua. JAW-SHU-WA!

reply

My choice for most annoying character is Neferiri.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

I always hated Dathan. The one character I hate.

reply

Arguably so. Everything he did was done out of selfish opportunity with little regard for anything else.

reply

Hate him, sure, but you gotta love Edward G. Robinson's performance!

reply

I agree with you.

reply

Robinson was pretty much always watchable. I think a lot of movie stars back then were. They seemed to have a good grasp of charisma in Old Hollywood.

reply

It seems so. You can only love his perfomance here in the way you can hate Dathan.

reply

Definitely. It shows how good an actor he is when you hate his character so much.

reply

Yep. And yet, in Double Indemnity, I love the quirky claims investigator with the little man in his stomach.

reply

Yeah, Dathan was a douche.

reply

I can handle all the main characters. for my most annoying would be the entirety of the slaves after leaving Egypt. I can understand their disappointment upon Moses' arrival; having this idea he's coming to save them only to be told to make bricks with no straw. but after all the miracles to get them free they never shut up! they were so quick to listen to Dathan after they said many times how they had felt his whip. OMG they annoyed me. Now, I get it...that's how the story goes. and you even can see it in today's time. Mob mentality can be a horrible thing because it makes people forget their own autonomy. But man, if I were Moses, I'd be like: "you know what? Screw you guys; I'm going home."
