These 2 scenes show Marty McFly in an altered version of Hill Valley in 1985 and George Bailey in an altered reality of Bedford Falls where he does not exist.

Biff Tannen has become the most powerful man of Hill Valley, just like Henry Potter has of Bedford Falls (now called Pottersville).

But Robert Zemeckis is not a copycat, with these similarities he pays homage to the great Frank Capra.
