Remake needed

I wish someone would do a new version. How many versions of Little Women or Anne of Green Gables do we need? I recall watching a cool version on a PBS show entitled "Once Upon A Classic" in the early 80's as a teen. I think NBC did a version in the 90's, but I am not sure, that one was nice too.

I've yet to see any movie made with Shirley Temple in it that could ever be improved on.

It's funny I got a version of Heidi in my YouTube recommendation list, and watched a few minutes of it. It was terrible. Then I went and looked up the ST version, and it was as great as I remembered it to be when I saw it as a little boy in school. Shirley was really something.

I did not mean anything against Shirley, just that it would be nice to see a new spin on a classic novel. In fact, I have never seen Shirley's movie,but hope to someday.

This movie barely has anything in common with the Kate Douglas Wiggin classic.

I kinda thought so, although I never saw it. However, I recall back in the 90's one of the networks did a version closer to the classic. I also saw a PBS version in the 80's.
