Batman first appears in Detective Comics in 1939.

Spider-Man first appears in Amazing Comics in 1962.

Dracula came first, so no.

Can't stop the signal.

reply

Ha, ha! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed that! :)

Batman is a vampire?

reply

Ha, so Batman may have taken inspiration from this.

reply

Nonsense, Batman never drank anyones blood

reply

Well of course, but visually maybe?

reply

I don't see how we can compare the greatest crime fighter ever depicted in cinema to the evil Count Dracula

Batman's image was based on a drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci. Some comic book characters have evolved from monster to superhero. Batman was originally intended to be a ruthless vigilante but never a monster. I believe Warhol was the only person to try and blend the Batman and Dracula characters.

Dracula and Zorro were direct inspirations for Bob Kane to create Batman.
