I'm Lebanese.

I'm Lebanese , why the "beep" did she mention Lebanon in her "Born this way" song ?

Thoughts ?

reply

Because it (kind of) rhymes with evergreen?

To put it in context, in the same breath she also mentions being a queen, black, white, beige, chola, oriental or someone with disabilities.

It doesn’t take a scholar to decipher where she’s coming from.

reply

Dude , i asked for thoughts , not brain farts. Your reply is ridiculous.

reply

What a coincidence, I thought the very same thing about your question. Dude.

reply

How are quoting lyrics brain fart? That's what I am doing

'Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen
You're Black, white, beige, chola descent
You're Lebanese, you're Orient'
Whether life's disabilities left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
'Cause, baby, you were born this way'

I think because it's a nice three syllable word that flows well as the ese sound goes better 'an' as in Australian, American or Canadian. She could have wanted to start with Japanese, but then it's a little redundant with Orient. Perhaps they thought of Sudanese as well?

My thoughts are why is this an issue for you?

reply

Dude , my issue is if it's just because it rhymes means the lyrics are banal.

reply

It doesn't actually rhyme though. The rhyme in that is descent and orient.

Just because you don't know why it's in there it doesn't mean there isn't a reason. Perhaps someone in Gaga, Fernando Garibay, DJ White Shadow, or Jeppe Laursen's families could be Lebanese. Or a friend of theirs. You think it's banal because you choose to.

YOU ASKED FOR NOTHING BUT STILL RECEIVED A VALID AND COHESIVE ANSWER...YOUR DICK REPLY IS PROOF YOU WERE ASKING FOR NOTHING TO BEGIN WITH. NOEMOJI

You suck , dude.

reply

I HAVE...BUT NOT ANYMORE...SORRY. NOEMOJI

reply

Don't you wish, dude.

The song is actually banned in Lebanon as offensive to Christianity:

I don't get it either.
