I don't think that the Oscars are just politics, maybe there not always this fair, but they are changing and they are getting fairer and fairer each year. Look at 2017. I think that these Oscars were pretty damn fair even if La La Land didn't win Best Picture...

It’s only “obvious” if your views on reality are formed without any reference to facts. And there are no facts to support this childish and outlandish claim. But there here are many which make it look just stupid as hell.
Such facts as that she auditioned via Skype for director David O. Russell, who then took the footage to Weinstein and insisted that she get the part.
Or the fact that she said Weinstein never approached her sexually.
Or the fact that he largely only approached women who needed or wanted a boost to their careers, and at the point she got the Silver Linings role, she was already Oscar nominated and had just received two roles in big franchises (including a lead in one of the most desired roles in the decade) and needed no help whatsoever.
Or such facts as that her performance was so widely praised it was predictable she was going to win pretty much every award that year, which she more or less did. I hadn’t even seen the movie that year and could tell from the buzz which way things were going to go.
You do understand that most Academy voters don't watch even close to all the movies they are voting on? That the buzz you talking about is part of a campaign? And that Oscars are awarded largely due to campaigning in the industry involving lots of money and given to actors who express the right political views? That's what Weinstein did for Lawrence and Streep among others. What would his incentive be to do that given what has been revealed about the way he was promoting actress who agreed to do what he wished and punished those that didn't? They not only praised Weinstein profusely for years but were shown in numerous photographs all over him.
If you understand that, you would understand why so many actresses would agree to do sexual favors for Weinstein and protect him for decades. What are Streep and Lawrence among others going to say? I had sex Weinstein so that he would spend a fortune to win me an Oscar? Many actresses have accused him, but how many have actually come forward and said yes, I performed sexual favors to get roles? Please.
I'm convinced the only way Jennifer Lawrence won an Oscar for that stupid movie in which she had a average performance at best in a shitty role as well as nominations for pretty average performances in average movie's after a Winter's Bone is that she agreed to do what Weinstein wanted. Excuse me, cupcake, but that movie got very mixed reviews and both Paramount and Lawrence campaigned like crazy during awards season, with zero results. Which, of course, proves that you can’t just buy awards recognition. There has to be something of substance that appeals to whomever votes for the things. Again: homework and basic research aren’t your thing.

Actresses pose with actors and producers of their material at red carpets all the time. It isn’t evidence for anything other than what is considered normal, professional behavior in that world of promotion. And she did, in fact, snap at him on several occasions for being a jerk to people. Just not when cameras were around.
