it's amazing you win for the Academy and when you make a film for them they turn on you they did the same with Kathryn Bigelow

Her movies are boring and bland as fuck. That Little Women pales in comparison to the 90’s version.

She's young. A good director gets to start complaining about a lack of career respect when they hit fifty or sixty, and to get REALLY upset when they get to Scorsese's age.

Little Women has been remade 6 times. Lady Bird hit every cliche of independent coming of age cinema:

-Precocious teen: check
-Teen angry at the world: check
-Main character doesn't go by conventional name: check
-Love/hate relationship with mother: check
-Lovable best friend: check
-Moody teen: check

Tropes or Cliches remain constant they only change if you invert or lampshade them and if you do people get mad
