Lisa Marie seemed to spend her adult life being unhappy and on drugs. Of course a person can have perfect parents who never did anything wrong, and still end up unhappy and on drugs, but the press seems to have been hands-off with Priscilla since forever.
something is not right. her life was a disaster from beginning to end.
shareMaybe she's like Prince Harry, messed up by losing a parent before they were old enough to understand that the parent was a flawed real person and not a perfect angel. Maybe the drugs messed up her life, regardless of anything else, maybe Priscilla did something wrong, I don't know.
But it seems pretty clear that Lisa Marie's life was as messed up as messed up could be, like Christina Onassis levels of messy. One thing though, I think that a big part of the problem was the same as it was with Onassis, Lisa Marie never really found anything she wanted to do, no career and no interests. Which in Onassis's case at least, left her free to spend her whole life obsessing over her feeling of being unloved.

Apparently she never met a full-blown narcopath like Jackson. I re-read some of it and it was clear that he'd been playing her from the moment he met her.
I don't agree with the terminology, but survivors of narcissists (all sociopaths are narcissists, but not at narcissists are sociopaths; in my opinion, MJ was both) like to call themselves "empaths." They're not, they're suckers for sob stories until they learn how to read the room. I used to be an "empath." I was raised by two narcissists. To survive with narcissists, you either become an "empath" or a narcissist yourself.
Did she still not know she had a big "SUCKER" sign any narcissist could read? I don't think she'd thought it through that far.
Oh, if you wonder why she could be so candid about MJ, he hadn't thought it through when he married her. He couldn't buy her off. She had at least as much money as he did. True MJ fans spit blood over this interview. Their MJ couldn't be a narcopath. Oh, no. 🤦🏼♀️
