shareTo be fair to guys like Roger and Paul, they joined the Republican party prior to its rebranding as the party of family values. That happened in 1980 after Reagan aggressively courted the evangelical vote and brought them into his governing coalition. It's probably Reagan's single most destructive decision he made as a politician with lasting reverberations we're suffering the consequences of today.
Once those hypocritical evangelical leaders were given a taste of power, they're loathe to give it up. Billy Graham Junior today represents everything that is wrong with the modern institution of televangelism.
Prior to 1980 evangelicals didn't overwhelmingly identify exclusively with one political party. In fact, Jimmy Carter won the evangelical vote in 1976, as he was a self described born against Christian himself and evangelicals saw him as one of their own. Talk about anachronisms.

Basically these are texts on Manafort collected over yearsssss and there are so many of them that until someone made a searchable database, it was just too hard to report on. It is now in a searchable database so I expect these to start getting traction now.
Wikileaks claims they're from Ukraine intel but it could very well be Russia especially considering their relationship with wikileaks.
I am starting to wonder if Putin ordered databases of text messages on Trump and important GOP and he's just sitting on that stash until someone pisses him off. Maybe these thousand upon thousands of text messages for individual people are what they're scared of?
And it's not like they just hacked Manafort's phone and were done with it. They went into his family's phones. And got years worth of messages. If they did that for Trump and the GOP as well, just imagine the fall out.
