The problem is that if he is bounced, pence becomes president. And he might be even worse.
shareThe best possible scenario for Dems is that Trump stays in power without destroying the country or the world... causes losses in the mid terms and allows us to find a new progressive leader not infected with the DNC's psuedo liberal moderate Republican agenda. People like Pence and Ryan are dangerous because they are younger and more sane than Trump and are much more likely to have a long sustained run in the White House. Normally I'd say give people a chance before you judge but seeing as they've done nothing but facilitate the Trump cabinet and agenda... they have proven to be equally culpable.
shareVery true. There's no good outcome for the left anytime before the next election. At best they gain some seats in the mid, but as hard as it is for them to stomach they're going to have to put up with trump. As you say, he stays and destroys the party with his endless buffoonery. I mean, look at last week alone. Was a scandle per day? That's got to be a record.
What really needs to happen is that everyone pays attention. Too many people only listen to buzzwords or the manufactured headlines. They need to stop listening to trump calling everything he doesn't like fake news. The Republican Party talks a good game about personal responsibility, time for their supporters to do just that.
I try not to be blindly partisan... but when I saw the Senate Republicans rubber stamping Trump's cabinet choices, I knew the situation was much more dire than I had previously imagined. I don't care for the Democratic leadership either... but they look like choirboys/girls compared to the Repubs right now.

I don't think impeachment is likely until after the 2018 mid-term elections. Even if Democrats pick up some seats, it still takes a 2 thirds majority in the senate to remove a president and I don't know if many Republicans would vote to remove him. Even if many of them personally hate Trump, they would fear a redneck backlash, Trump supporters are fanatics and insanely loyal to him.
The next presidential election, Tin foil kook. Maybe if you learned fucking 7th grade civics you would know how impeachment works, and maybe it might have helped get your criminal candidate elected instead. She was too busy in her safe spaces in California and New York to do some real campaigning during the last election. But I don't blame her since she was in hiding avoiding all the crimes she committed to become the nominee and forced this country to choose Trump over someone who should be behind bars. Keep swallowing the blue pills.
