Punisher

War Zone was a bad movie. Stevenson was really good. He is my favorite version of the punisher. Too bad the movie was so crappy.

STEVENSON NAILED THE ROLE...THATS FOR SURE...ID ELEVATE THE MOVIE ITSELF FROM CRAPPY TO MEDIOCRE...OTHERWISE I AGREE ENTIRELY.

He's genuinely a good actor. Heck, I loved his character in the other guys.

Yeah, he was by far the most authentic (to the comics) version of Frank Castle. Frank was supposed to be older middle-aged, and very grizzled and war-weary in his appearance. He was also supposed to be like 6'5" and very physically imposing for a guy with no super powers. Watching Stevenson play the Punisher was like seeing the character come to life. He was perfect for the role. It's really disappointing that he was the perfect Punisher in such a cartoony turd of a movie.

If they had plugged Stevenson into 'Daredevil' and then given him the Netflix 'Punisher' series, it would have been AMAZING.

That said, Jon Bernthal was awesome in his own way.

Ray Stevenson made War Zone tolerable, but it is better to look at the film as an unintentional comedy (i.e. The Happening) to truly appreciate it. Also Thomas Jane was great as Punisher. His movie was mediocre, but his laundry short he did was awesome.
