Would he point blank refuse to work with Tom Hanks?

Or Tom Cruise even?

I somehow get the feeling that he would refuse to work with either of them.

... Maybe "refuse" is the wrong word. I think he'd gracefully decline interest in any project involving either of that pair.

Why?

reply

Well he's more of an "Actor's Actor" isn't he.

I'd imagine he'd find it a bit demeaning. I really don't think he'd stomach Hanks. And I could see them coming to blows if he was left in close proximity with Cruise too long.

Further investigation has proven to be inconclusive in terms of finding any Peter Mullan soundbites with regards to this pair.

However, I guess in Tom Hanks favour, it has to be conceded that Pater Mullan did appear in Sunshine On Leith. So perhaps any vitriol he did direct in Hanks' direction, e.g. "F*ck you Hanks, you total fraud" could be straight batted back by the portly American with some reference to Mullan's appearance in that frothy production.

What made it so frothy?

reply

It's a light hearted musical based upon the tunes of the proclaimers.

Not exactly the sort of Ken Loach playing an alcoholic who's accidentally murdered their kid or something production we'd normally associate him with.
