Ruined her chances at the Oscars with her problematic comments

She was probably getting that elusive Oscar nomination that she has never gotten in her nearly 30 year career but with her recent problematic comments and incidents I think it is safe to say that she has no chance of being nominated let alone awarded at the Oscars. Her stance when it comes to Woody, her decision to play a trans actor, hogging roles from minorities and her comment about her being able to play whatever she wants even a tree could not have gone well with the Oscar voters.

I think Scarlett Johansson is fine ... great as an actress even. Loved her in Marriage Story. What comments did she make?

reply

She supports Woody Allen and she didn't see the problem with playing a trans character since it's all just acting.

reply

There is no evidence against Woody, I strongly support him against the vicious lies and abuse of Mia Farrow. What she plays is a business decision for her.

reply

I'm 99% sure Woody's innocent, too. Of course, I can't ever know 100% certain, but there's not a lot of good evidence against him.

Agreed: actors pretend to be other people. They take on all sorts of behaviours, psychologies, profiles, characteristics, etc. That's the job.

But there are strong elements, particularly in Hollywood, that believe otherwise.

reply

The actors and actresses who supported Woody are courageous, and the ones who turned on him are jackasses of the highest degree and who I will stay away from any movies they are in or make.
