Ever since Lemony Snikkets, she has been playing R-rated roles and getting naked. What is wrong with her? Lemony was the only movie I liked from her.

At 14-years-old, Emily Browning was already a regular on Australian TV when she was cast in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events in 2004. Acting opposite A-listers like Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep, Browning basically hit a home run on her first at-bat in the Hollywood scene. But then it was two years before her next starring role in the much smaller film, Stranded (2006). Then another three until her next role in The Uninvited (2009). As of this writing, Browning has only returned to big studio films twice since her big break despite the fact that she generally gets rave reviews on her performances, so what gives? She's done the smart thing I thought she did the big budget films like Pompeii and Sucker Punch and did indie fare like Sleeping Beauty, Golden Exits and God Help The Girl. You forget also she's a grown ass woman now, as we speak she's 30 years of age. She's not the kid on Lemony Snikkets. She's moved on.
The problem with her career is her big budget work didn't do well with major audiences, any of her more well known work like Legend with Tom Hardy, she was overshadowed by his amazing performance. A lot of her Horror work hasn't been received well. Her indie work doesn't strike out to larger audiences. Her most well known work is probably Lemon Snikkets, American Gods and Sucker Punch and Sleeping Beauty cause she's the young girl from Lemony Snikkets get's naked in it.
Just a case of someone who probably has the talent and looks to be a big star but just hasn't had the role yet to push her into the mainstream. She's still young at 30, so could still have time to be a big star.
I'm not a fan of movies that dwell on sex, but nudity, when done like she does it, confident and more casually, can work and she certainly pulls it off. She seems very comfortable with being that way which speaks to her strength I think.
