Was her "Chicken of the sea" comment serious?

Does anyone remember this?

When I first watched this I believed she was being honest in her confusion.

But now older and wiser, I am leaning the other way, that actually she was having one on the viewer, showing how easily men can fall into the "dumb blonde" stereotype trap.

I like that you give her the benefit of the doubt, but I remember watching that episode and it didn't seem staged or put-on at all. If it was, that confused expression she had was pure genius and Jessica Simspon is surely the finest actress that ever lived.

I think she probably realized how dumb it was not long after it escaped her mouth. We all make mistakes. I don't hate her for it.

Yes I felt the same way when I watched it.

But beautiful women KNOW that men can be attracted to dopey girls. They can act this way like a timid man can act all tough.

You are right though, if she was acting, she is a great actress.

Which proves there is not necessarily any correlation between wealth and intelligence.
