I think she was probably very good at being a project manager-type producer. Like, "here's a list of 1000 things that need to be done in the next year so this movie will be completed and released on time" and she would make it all happen.

The problem is that those skills don't translate into being good as a creative-type producer, i.e. being responsible for what's actually in the movie. And she was clearly ill-prepared to run a movie studio.
