Most people would be hard-pressed to name anything she has recorded post-Stripped. Moves Like Jagger doesn't count. Any artist could have sung her part, and it wouldn't have made a difference.
The long gaps between each album hasn't done her any favours. She's not important enough to keep people waiting.
She was a product of her time. She rose to fame in an era that consisted of Britney Spears, Nysnch, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Spice Girls etc etc etc. People were into these young, teenage popstars. The fad died, Christina left with the fad. 2003-2004 was the end of her run

The real reason why she takes years to release another album mostly stems from the fact that she is a mother of two.
