Ben Kingsley is one of the great acting talents of our time, however he very consistently appears in terrible movies. There's no way this is a mistake, he has to pick these scripts on purpose because he's far and away the most talented actor in every one of those films.
So, that said, is Ben Kingsley the best actor ever to be in so many bad movies??
Gary Oldman has a heck of a lot more films going for him than that.

He was spectacular in those roles.
He just happens to say yes to a lot of films... The guy wants roles dammit!
Yeah, I just posted a similar comment, but not quite so to the point.
I don't think he is a good actor any longer because I cannot see his
face in a movie and continue to watch it, he's horrible.
He has a strange career. So much acclaim but I guess not a lot of commercial success.
Then again, he has managed to have a career acting which is more than 100s of 1000s can say.
Michael Caine is the first one who comes to mind. Superb actor, but he has put his name to an awful lot of dreck.
