I still enjoy his early movies though. Unlike may RW "woke" idiots on these boards who talk about canceling out actors who voice their political opinions I can look beyond their personal beliefs. It's just like with your own relatives who may have different political leanings. You don't stop acknowledging them, even though many today are doing that (both right and left).

Voight had some sort of freak out happen in his life around 1985, I don't know if it was a divorce or what but there was a stark change around Runaway Train and Desert Bloom(1986). He made only 1 or 2 movies in 10 years, maybe he just got tired of being on a movie set, certainly understandable.
